CHALK SIGNS

One of the skills I picked up during wedding planning was the chalk transfer technique. For any image or text that you want to write in chalk, simply print this out, trace this onto the material you're working with (chalkboard, wood), then go over it with regular chalk or a chalk marker. There are many online tutorials for this. If you don't have a steady hand with chalk, then this is a good technique to use.

For the welcome sign, my dad purchased a large sheet of wood at Home Depot for $5, which he coated. Then, it was cut into two rectangular pieces - one for my wedding, one for a friend's wedding, and two arrow signs for me to write husband and wife!

Instead of handing out individual programs, I decided to just write down some of the important details onto a large chalkboard I borrowed from a friend.

Lastly, I used some chalk for the heart on the back of my "ring bearer."
