SEED PACKET FAVORS
I loved the idea of seed packets as wedding favors. It fits nicely into our wedding filled with organic / natural / floral themed items and environment. I originally intended on purchasing customized seed envelopes with our names and wedding date, but these turned out a bit more costly than I had budgeted. Plus, I could only choose one design and one type of seed. I realized that I would be taking on more work, but I started painting a few things...and then before you know it, 3 different seed packets!
I found a template online for the envelope and tweaked it a bit. The envelopes were printed on vellum since the colors print out nicely on that texture and the inside sleeve with instructions (should anyone actually open the packet to grow their herbs!) were printed on regular paper. I purchased some of the seeds in bulk, others in just regular packets and sorted them out into smaller bags. Then, my amazing friends helped me cut and glue these together.
Had to throw in some puns to make it a bit more fun. Stephen and I tried to come up with a fun phrase for basil for the longest time, but basil what do ya know, we couldn't.
